This comprehensive book covers almost every component of Fedora Core 5. The included DVD allows a user to install Fedora 5 and then read about that particular piece of software. Overall, the coverage of topics is extensive enough for the new user to a senior level system administrator wanting to become familiar will the software available in Fedora.
The one topic of interest that could be covered better is Xen. Xen allows multiple virtual operating systems to be installed on one machine. This is a fairly new area and might be why it wasn't discussed in length. This is a fairly minor complaint as the authors point to many web sites with current information on this fast moving topic.
